The Roman goddess of the hunt was the favourite motif of French sculptors between the wars, because movement, grace and a touch of wilderness could all be told in a single group.

Fine craftsmanship and solid bronze
The figure is cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax process, each piece chased and patinated individually by hand. The figure carries a light green patina, the fawns are set off in warm brown, and the bow is cast as a fine free-standing line. The group stands on a stepped bronze bench above a light onyx plate.

Placement and effect
At 36,7 cm tall and 3,84 kg the sculpture has real weight and needs no company.
