Armchair Next to the Bed: Storage and Seating in One
Hotel rooms and guest rooms often lack a place where guests can put down their clothes or sit down to put on their shoes. The bed then becomes a storage surface, which neither looks tidy nor is practical. An armchair near the bed solves both problems at once: it provides a seat and accommodates clothing, handbag or magazines without making the room appear cluttered.
Why an Armchair Does More Than a Chair

The armchair is ideally positioned to the side of the bed, not at the foot end where it would block the passage. A small side table or floor lamp nearby increases comfort and makes the spot an independent zone in the room.
