The furniture is produced in the workshop, piece by piece. Carving is done by hand in solid timber, mainly beech and mahogany, then sanded, primed and finished. Depending on the model the finish is applied in gold leaf or silver leaf, or lacquered with a patina.
Upholstery uses velvet, cotton fabrics, silk satin, faux leather and genuine leather. Buttoned models are built button by button, which is the difference you still see years later compared with printed or glued buttoning.
These are quality reproductions rather than antiques. For daily use that is a practical advantage: the frames are new, seat heights suit the way people sit today, replacement parts remain available, and you can order several identical pieces, which is simply not possible with antiques.

Almost every model exists in a wide colour range: gold, silver, white, cream white, ivory, black, red, burgundy, green, light blue, royal blue, turquoise, brown, pink, purple, orange, yellow, khaki, olive and anthracite. Goods travel by road and ferry, so the transit time is longer than for mainland destinations and consolidating an order into one shipment is worthwhile.
