Every piece is produced in the workshop. Carving is done by hand in solid timber, mainly beech and mahogany, then sanded, primed and finished. Depending on the model the finish is applied in gold leaf or silver leaf, or lacquered with a patina.
Upholstery uses velvet, cotton fabrics, silk satin, faux leather and genuine leather. Buttoned models are built button by button, which is the difference that remains visible years later compared with printed or glued buttoning.
