The exclusive Luxury Side Table / Stool by Casa Padrino bears the name Pawn and adopts the silhouette of a chess pawn in furniture size. In rich burgundy the familiar chess piece becomes a charming object that works as a side table just as well as a stool whenever an extra seat is needed.

Material and workmanship
The piece is made of fibre concrete (GRC), a glass fibre reinforced, weather-resistant material that is shaped and finished by hand. The burgundy surface is deliberately kept lively and slightly irregular: Small differences in tone and texture are intentional and make every piece unique. At 17 kg the pawn stands firm and secure.

Placement and effect
At Ø 30.5 cm and 48 cm in height Pawn takes its place next to sofa or armchair and carries drink, book and glasses, and when guests arrive it joins the circle as a stool. It is particularly appealing in a pair or a small group, like pieces on a chessboard. The deep burgundy sets a rich colour accent against natural tones, velvet and dark wood.

Care and notes
A soft, slightly damp cloth is all it takes for cleaning; avoid abrasives and harsh cleaners. The piece is intended for indoor use, a sheltered outdoor spot is possible, but it should not be permanently exposed to frost and moisture.
