Casa Padrino Chesterfield Leather Bed Headboard – Wide, Low, Conceived from One Piece of Leather

Not every bedroom can take a headboard reaching almost to the ceiling. This Casa Padrino Chesterfield leather bed headboard is deliberately wide and low: it lies behind the bed like a band without occupying the wall. In rooms with a sloping ceiling, a stucco cornice or a low-set window this is exactly the solution.

The genuine leather in warm reddish brown is the real reason for this piece. Leather does not age, it develops: edges lighten, the surface gains sheen, and the colour deepens over the years. No fabric can do that.

The button tufting runs across the entire surface without a frame. Because the format is low, the rows sit close above one another, and the tufting therefore appears more compact and more masculine than on a tall headboard.

For the workshop, leather means more effort than fabric: it cannot be stretched at will, every fold must arise in the right place. The buttons are set while the cover is already under tension – there is no correcting afterwards.

A solid wood body with dimensionally stable foam carries the construction. In a hotel bar suite, a study or a bedroom with a dark wooden floor, the impression of an English club arises from it.

Delivery includes the headboard only, without a bed. On request we produce it in other colours, sizes and leather qualities; in black or cognac the effect changes considerably.
