A motif from the Art Deco of the 1920s
A dancer stands on her toes, draws one leg up high and opens both arms horizontally into a straight line. She wears a brief ornamented costume and a cap of the kind the revue stages of the twenties called for.

Fine craftsmanship and solid bronze
The figure is cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax process, each piece chased and patinated individually by hand. The olive brown patina is polished lighter on arms and legs, and the ornament on top and shorts is chased individually. It rests on a bell-shaped bronze plinth on a round plate of black marble.

Placement and effect
At 45,2 cm tall and 3,52 kg the sculpture has real weight and needs no company. Because the arms reach out more than a third of a metre it needs open surface: a console, a sideboard or a shelf without neighbours.

Material and care
Bronze and marble do not age and are maintenance-free, a dry cloth is enough. Because every piece is patinated by hand, no two are alike.
