A motif from the Art Deco of the 1920s
A dancer stands in a long gown knotted at the hips, raising one hand high and bringing the other to her shoulder. The upper body wears beaded ornament of fine dotted rows. The Salome theme was everywhere on the stages around 1900 and passed from there into sculpture.

Fine craftsmanship and solid bronze
The figure is cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax process, each piece chased and patinated individually by hand. The golden brown patina is polished lighter along the edges of the folds, and beadwork and hair are chased individually. It rests on a stepped base of black marble.

Placement and effect
At 36,4 cm tall and 4,62 kg the sculpture has real weight and needs no company. A chest of drawers, a console, a bookshelf or a display cabinet suits it and it needs little space.

Bronze and marble do not age and are maintenance-free, a dry cloth is enough. Because every piece is patinated by hand, no two are alike.
