A dancer balances on one foot, stretches one leg to the side and spreads her arms; the cape spans into two wings reaching from wrists to hips. Such costume figures come from the revues of the twenties, in which fabric and light were the real leading players.

Fine craftsmanship and solid bronze
The figure is cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax process, each piece chased and patinated individually by hand. The golden brown patina is polished smooth on the cape and set darker along the edges so the wing shape stands out clearly. It rests on a turned round base of black marble.
