A motif from the Art Deco of the 1920s
A dancer balances on the point of one foot, the other leg stretched far back, holding a large hoop above her. The hoop dancer is one of the most famous Art Deco motifs because it shows two things at once: the diagonal of the body and the perfect circle.

Fine craftsmanship and solid bronze
The figure is cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax process, each piece chased and patinated individually by hand. The body carries a warm brown patina, while hoop and the large winged headdress are polished to a golden shine and chased with fine ornamental bands. It rests on a turned round base of black marble.

Placement and effect
At 70,8 cm tall and 5,44 kg the sculpture has real weight and needs no company. Against a dark wall, in a niche with a spotlight, on a grand piano or in a hotel lobby the hoop shines from afar.
