A motif from the Art Deco of the 1920s
The head of a horse is reduced to a few clear planes, the mane standing back as a ribbed fan and the nostrils wide open. This geometric way of grasping an animal appeared in the twenties and is still found on desks today.

Fine craftsmanship and solid bronze
The figure is cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax process, each piece chased and patinated individually by hand. The golden brown patina is polished smooth on the large planes while the ribbed mane stays matt. The head stands on a turned round base of green marble.

Placement and effect
At 18,5 cm tall and 2,1 kg the sculpture has real weight and needs no company. On a desk, a shelf, in an equestrian room or as a bookend it is a compact piece with weight.
