Mercury sets one foot on the globe, raises the caduceus above his head and wears winged helmet and winged shoes. As patron of trade he stood in many counting houses in the twenties, and the Art Deco version gives him clear angular forms.

Fine craftsmanship and solid bronze
The figure is cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax process, each piece chased and patinated individually by hand. The golden brown patina is polished lighter on the body while the globe with its continents stays matt and finely engraved. The figure is carried by a pyramid-shaped base of black marble.
