A motif from the Art Deco of the 1920s
A dancer sits on the ground, one leg stretched far out, bending down to her foot with a smile. Her costume is covered all over with small blossoms and she wears a close-fitting cap. Seated dancing figures were rare in Art Deco and are therefore particularly sought after today.

Fine craftsmanship and solid bronze
The figure is cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax process, each piece chased and patinated individually by hand. The golden brown patina is polished lighter on the pleated skirt while the blossoms of the bodice are reworked one by one. The figure sits on a flat rectangular plate of black marble.

Placement and effect
At 16,5 cm tall the sculpture has real presence and needs no company. A coffee table, a sideboard, a wide shelf or a mantelpiece suits this horizontal figure well.
