Sixteen flames on two tiers, eight outer and eight inner, and between them a cast putto with spread wings stands on the central shaft.

The arms are cast as acanthus scrolls, and at every joint hang cut crystal drops in leaf shape. The rococo tone here is deliberately loud.

Where a room needs a centre that works by daylight too, this chandelier carries it. Below three metres of ceiling height it does get tight.
