Not every bedroom needs a headboard that plays the leading role. Sometimes it is the chandelier, sometimes a painting, sometimes the view from the window. This Casa Padrino luxury bed headboard is meant for those rooms: a smooth upholstered surface in calm beige grey, two metres wide, without any pattern.

The only division is a raised frame edge running a finger's width in from the border. It is barely more than a line, yet it gives the surface a mount and keeps the headboard from looking like a mere cushion.

Precisely because so little happens, everything here depends on the execution. A large smooth surface forgives no ripple, no crooked seam, no unevenly filled foam. What disappears into the relief of a patterned headboard lies open here.
