Casa Padrino Luxury Bed Headboard Quest – Black, and Still Not Heavy

Black is considered risky in a bedroom. Wrongly so: a black surface behind the bed closes the room optically and makes everything in front of it appear brighter. This Casa Padrino luxury bed headboard uses exactly that effect – and takes the hardness out of it with its structure.

The reason is the close-meshed square button tufting. It breaks the black surface into hundreds of small fields, each of which receives its own light. From two metres away you do not see a hole but a fine, living relief.

A headboard in this colour is the safest bet in the room: it suits white bedding, linen in natural tones, grey, brass, any wood. Anyone who redecorates the bedroom often never has to replace it.

In craft terms a dense grid across two metres is demanding: every row must be exactly aligned, because with small fields the eye finds every deviation at once. Large diamonds forgive a millimetre, this does not.

The construction follows the whole series: solid wood body, dimensionally stable polyester foam, cleanly worked edges. For hotel rooms the dark surface is additionally practical, because it appears less sensitive in daily use than pale tones.

Only the headboard is delivered, without a bed. On request this model is produced in other colours, sizes and fabric variants – the same dense tufting in cream white looks entirely different, namely light and almost maritime.
