Casa Padrino Luxury Bed Headboard De – Where the Straight Line Ends

A rectangle behind the bed is the safe solution. This Casa Padrino luxury bed headboard is the more beautiful one: its top edge rises in a shallow arc towards the centre and thereby takes from the wall the severity a straight edge always brings.

On the surface lies a diamond tufting with fabric-covered buttons. The buttons are made of the same material as the cover, so they do not step forward as a contrast but only as a point of shadow. The pattern therefore stays soft and does not push in front of the shape.

The arc itself is the actual design. It changes how a bed stands in the room: a straight edge cuts, a curved one carries. In rooms with a high ceiling or with stucco this is the difference between a piece of furniture and a fitted element.

Taupe grey sits exactly between warm and cool. The tone accepts walnut as well as oak, tolerates brass just as much as matt black, and lets white bedding shine without appearing too pale itself.

As throughout the series: solid wood body, dimensionally stable polyester foam, cleanly worked edges. With a curved contour the edge work matters twice as much, because the eye finds every irregularity on the arc at once.

Only the headboard is delivered, without a bed. On request this model is produced in other colours, sizes and fabric variants; the same contour in velvet and a deep tone appears distinctly more representative at once.
