An animal motif with character
The head of an elephant with a curled trunk is built up from large angular planes, the ears standing back like smooth shields. This way of breaking an animal into facets came out of Parisian animal sculpture in the twenties and still looks surprisingly modern today.

Fine craftsmanship and solid bronze
The figure is cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax process, each piece chased and patinated individually by hand. The golden brown patina is polished smooth on the large planes while trunk and tusks are worked in finer detail. The head stands on a stepped base of black marble.

Placement and effect
At 16,2 cm tall and 3,44 kg the sculpture has real weight and needs no company. On a desk, a coffee table, a bookshelf or in an office it is a compact piece with plenty of weight.

Material and care
Bronze and marble do not age and are maintenance-free, a dry cloth is enough. Because every piece is patinated by hand, no two are alike.
