The motif
A huntsman in uniform coat, cuffed boots and tricorne sets the circular horn to his lips and blows the signal, the arm stretched wide. At his feet two hounds stand on the couple, one looking attentively ahead, the other back. The group stands on a round, stepped marble base.

Craftsmanship and casting
Huntsman, hounds and ground plate are cast individually and assembled; horn and couple are made separately from thin material and hooked in afterwards. The sculpture is cast in solid bronze using the lost wax process, the technique that has been in use since antiquity. Every piece is chased and patinated individually by hand, and only then does the final colour appear.

Placement and effect
A classical hunting motif for a mantelpiece, a library, a hunting room or a country house hall. It suits leather, dark wood and brass and needs no grand entrance, only a surface at chest height where the scene can be read.

Material and care
Bronze does not age and is practically maintenance free, a dry soft cloth is all it takes. Because every piece is cast and patinated by hand, no two are identical: slight variations in tone and surface are part of the process and are not a defect.
