Casa Padrino Luxury Velvet Bed Headboard Mallorca – Light Travelling Along the Wall

Silver velvet is not a fabric you describe – you watch it. This Casa Padrino luxury bed headboard divides two metres of it into broad vertical panels, and that is exactly what sets the surface to work: every panel catches the light at a different angle, bright on the curve, dark in the hollow.

This fluting is one of the oldest ways of ordering a surface; we know it from ancient columns. On a headboard it does two things: it stretches the piece upward and turns a single-colour surface into a play of light and shadow that changes with every hour of the day.

In the morning the silver appears cool and almost metallic. Under warm evening light it tips towards champagne. Anyone who fits an indirect lamp behind the bed is given for free the effect for which others have a wall panel built.

In craft terms, clean fluting is more demanding than it looks: every panel must be filled equally and covered equally taut, otherwise the pattern drifts. Across two metres of width every deviation is visible at once.

The construction stays classic: solid wood body, dimensionally stable polyester foam, cleanly guided seams. The headboard suits private bedrooms as much as hotel rooms where a glamorous accent is wanted without unsettling the space.

Delivery includes the headboard only, without a bed. On request we produce this model in other colours, sizes and fabric qualities – the same fluting looks entirely different in smoke blue or anthracite.
