The exclusive Luxury Bowl by Casa Padrino is worked from petrified wood, a material in which wood has turned to stone over millions of years. At Ø 30 x H. 8 cm and a full 10.3 kg, this is no ordinary decorative object on the table, but a solid piece of Earth's history.

Material and workmanship
Petrified wood forms when minerals replace the wood structure cell by cell: the grain of the former tree remains visible, yet has turned entirely to stone. The surface of the bowl is worked smooth and brings out the pattern and play of colour in the material. Every bowl comes from its own piece of petrified wood: colour, grain and contour vary, every piece is unique.

Use
On dining table, coffee table or sideboard the flat bowl works as an object even when empty, its stony grain inviting a closer look. It holds keys and small treasures in the hallway just as well as decorative spheres in the living room. Next to wood, linen and calm earthy tones the material shows at its finest.

Care and notes
A soft, dry cloth is all it takes for cleaning; abrasives and harsh cleaners have no place on the smooth stone surface. Acids such as wine, juice or citrus can leave dull stains on natural stone, and the bowl is not suitable for microwave, oven or dishwasher. At a good 10 kg, always lift it with both hands when moving it and make sure it rests on a load-bearing, level surface.
