The exclusive Luxury Side Table by Casa Padrino places nature millions of years old on modern metal: the top is made of petrified wood that has turned completely into stone, the base of stainless steel in a dark nickel finish. The contrast between the lively stone pattern and the cool sheen of the metal makes the table an eye-catcher. At around 28 kg it carries the rich weight of genuine stone.

Material and craftsmanship
Petrified wood is fossil wood in which the organic material was replaced by minerals over millions of years; the original grain of the tree remained preserved in the stone. Every top is unique, with its own pattern, its own contour and its own dimensions: by nature the tops vary between roughly 50 and 65 cm, and depending on the piece the height lies between 65 and 67 cm. The stainless steel base in dark nickel finish is solidly crafted and carries the heavy top securely.

Placement and effect
At around 67 cm in height the table works as a striking side table next to high sofa backs and armchairs, as a surface in the entrance area or freely in the room as a pedestal for a lamp or sculpture. The warm brown stone pattern above the dark metal suits modern interiors as well as classic rooms with wood, leather and brass.

Care and notes
Petrified wood is cared for like stone: a soft, dry cloth is all it takes for cleaning and also serves the stainless steel base; abrasives and harsh cleaners have no place on the surfaces. Use coasters under glasses and bottles. As every top has grown naturally, size, shape and pattern vary slightly from piece to piece. Always lift the table to move it, never push it across the floor.
