The exclusive Luxury Side Table Set of 3 by Casa Padrino consists of three tables with tops made of petrified wood that has turned completely into stone over millions of years. The three heights of approx. 25, 33 and 40 cm can be combined and grouped freely. Every top rests on a black iron base, and together the set weighs around 75 kg, the rich weight of genuine stone.

Material and craftsmanship
Petrified wood is fossil wood in which the organic material was replaced by minerals over millions of years; the original grain of the tree remained preserved in the stone. Each of the three tops is unique, with its own pattern, its own contour and its own dimensions: by nature the tops vary between roughly 45 and 60 cm, and no two sets are alike. The black iron bases are solidly crafted and put the tops centre stage.

Placement and effect
The three tables stand as a staggered group in front of the sofa, where they replace a classic coffee table, yet they can also be spread individually around the room: the tall one next to the armchair, the middle one by the sofa, the low one as a pedestal for a vase or sculpture. The warm brown tones of the petrified grain suit light natural shades as well as dark wood, leather and brass.

Care and notes
Petrified wood is cared for like stone: a soft, dry cloth is all it takes for cleaning, and abrasives and harsh cleaners have no place on the surfaces. Use coasters under glasses and bottles. As every top has grown naturally, size, shape and pattern vary slightly from piece to piece. Always lift the tables to move them, never push them across the floor, as the tops are heavy.
