A winged fairy stands on three fish leaping out of a wave, holding the reins like a charioteer. Such mythical creatures belong to the core repertoire of Art Nouveau, which brought nature, myth and ornament together in a single image.

Fine craftsmanship and solid bronze
The figure is cast in solid bronze using the lost-wax process, each piece chased and patinated individually by hand. Wave and wings carry a light verdigris patina, the fish are set off in warm brown, and the reins are cast as free-standing lines. The group stands on a round base of black marble with light veining.

Placement and effect
At 37,5 cm tall and 5,38 kg the sculpture has real weight and needs no company. On a console, a sideboard, in a conservatory or in a nautically furnished room it becomes the centrepiece.

Material and care
