The exclusive Luxury Cast Iron Garden Fountain Putto with Angels by Casa Padrino is an extraordinary work of art that unites expressive form, fine craftsmanship and luxurious design. The motif
A putto stands on the upper shell-shaped ribbed basin and raises both arms. The large lower basin carries a broad egg and dart at the rim, below it a wreath of leaves runs around the wall. On two sides winged angel heads support the basin and rest their own chins in their hands. The foot is square and stepped.

Craftsmanship and finish
The water is led up inside the shaft and emerges at the putto, from where it falls over the upper shell into the lower basin. The piece is sand-cast in iron, basin, shaft and figure separately and bolted together afterwards. The surface is primed and lacquered in several layers, the recesses left darker so that the relief gains depth.

Placement and effect
A fountain of this height needs a firm, level base, a concrete slab or a laid pavement is enough. It stands right at the end of a path, in the middle of a circle or in front of a hedge; in half shade the water stays clear for longer. It runs on a circulating pump in the lower basin, a water connection is not required.

Material and care
Cast iron is heavy and stands firm and may stay outdoors all year round as long as no water freezes in the basin. Before the first frost the pump and the basin are drained. Small chips in the lacquer are touched up before rust sets in underneath, a lacquer pen is enough.
