The motif
Two frogs are dancing: one leans far back, the other holds him and lifts the free arm high. The pose is taken from the closing figure of a tango, right down to the spread webbed feet. The backs carry a green patina, bellies and arms are polished a golden brown.

Craftsmanship and casting
Both animals are cast individually and joined through the grips, the join disappearing completely into the movement. The sculpture is cast in solid bronze using the lost wax process, the technique that has been in use since antiquity. Every piece is chased and patinated individually by hand, and only then does the final colour appear.

Placement and effect
The group has humour and therefore takes a place where it is seen at once: beside the entrance, at the terrace door, at the edge of a pool. It is weatherproof and may stand outside all year round.

Material and care
Bronze does not age and is practically maintenance free, a dry soft cloth is all it takes. Because every piece is cast and patinated by hand, no two are identical: slight variations in tone and surface are part of the process and are not a defect.
