The motif
A bull steps forward with its right foreleg, the head slightly lowered, the tail swinging high. Neck folds, rib cage and the tensed muscles of the hindquarters are worked true to nature, while the polished horns and hooves set golden accents against the dark body.

Craftsmanship and casting
An animal of this size is produced in several sections which are welded after casting, dressed and chased over the whole surface until the seams disappear. The dark patina is built up in layers, horns and hooves remain polished. The sculpture is cast in solid bronze using the lost wax process, the technique that has been in use since antiquity. Every piece is chased and patinated individually by hand, and only then does the final colour appear.

Placement and effect
At 264 cm long the bull is a piece for the grand gesture: a driveway, a lawn, a hotel forecourt or a wide hall. It needs distance on all sides and a level, load-bearing base; on a lawn a foundation slab is recommended.

Material and care
Bronze does not age and is practically maintenance free, a dry soft cloth is all it takes. Because every piece is cast and patinated by hand, no two are identical: slight variations in tone and surface are part of the process and are not a defect.
