The motif
On staggered water lily leaves two frogs face each other, one just leaping across to the other. Below, a large undulating leaf catches the water, which runs on from level to level.

Craftsmanship and casting
The leaves are driven out thin and patinated in light green, the frogs remain warm bronze and polished. The stems carry the water and a pump connection is prepared. The sculpture is cast in solid bronze using the lost wax process, the technique that has been in use since antiquity. Every piece is chased and patinated individually by hand, and only then does the final colour appear.

Placement and effect
The fountain suits a round basin, a pond edge or a terrace with a reservoir underneath. The staggered leaves make the water audible without becoming loud.

Material and care
Bronze is weatherproof and may stand outdoors all year round, the surface develops its own grown patina over the years. Before the first frost the pump and the water line are drained and the basin is left dry. Because every piece is cast and patinated by hand, no two are identical.
